5 VERY cool things about our amazing party bags!

  1. Freebies
It was free, and there’s no denying the joy of something for nothing; especially when there’s a whole bag of it.
  2. Breaking the ice
They were a talking point. Many conversations throughout the night began with something about how impressive the goody bags were. I don’t like to think of these kind of events as ‘networking’ opportunities, as the word in itself feels a little forced. I prefer to see it as an occasion to meet like-minded creatives and chat about the stuff we love. (Which happened to be quite a few of the items inside the bag!)
  3. New designers

It was a discovery of a whole load of up-and-coming designers, from Esoteric London’s sharp boxed jewellery to Lorelai Hall’s flower power acrylic brooches to Rakel Blom’s printed scrunchies.

  1. Discount codes

Some of the lovely gifts came with discount codes too; the good stuff doesn’t end when you get to the bottom of the bag! Soap Box Fox’s 20% discount code is particularly generous, and particularly dangerous for our purses.

  1. Spreading the word

I got to share something I love with other people. Having connected with ‘Curious Kanna’ on Twitter, the taxidermy collector and editor of #taximag quickly became my friend. The magazine is one of her latest ventures, and a fantastic one at that. It hits a current niche subject that is both current and topical, right between the glass eyes. I arranged #taximag to be included inside goody bags as I imagine at least a handful of you Tatties to be a lot like myself, so I hopefully you enjoyed the read!
